The Brief

Product strategy and a validated app prototype that reframed mobile banking around everyday money tasks rather than account types.

The Challenge

Addressing the core problems and constraints of the project.

Summit’s existing app mirrored its internal product catalogue, which confused newer customers and drove heavy call-centre traffic.

The Solution

Crafting a
unique approach.

We ran 30 customer interviews, defined a task-first information architecture and delivered a tested prototype with a phased roadmap the engineering team could act on immediately.

Solution visual

Research first

Interviews and diary studies showed customers think in tasks, such as paying a bill or splitting a cost, not in products. We rebuilt the app’s structure around that language.

From insight to roadmap

Rather than a single big-bang redesign, we sequenced work into three releases, each independently valuable and measurable.

  • Usability task success rose from 61% to 93% in prototype testing.
  • Top five call-centre topics were addressed in release one.
  • A shared design system now underpins all digital channels.

Let's build something legendary.
